NSR GT-3 Slot Car Racing – Round-6 – June 26 2021

The final race in the quarterly GT-3 series closed out a Very Competitive and exciting series!  The round’s podium was a little different than recents with P1=Marty, P2=Dave P3=John, followed closely by Stephen.  Russ and Ary stayed for a bit but both decided to not race with us.  Hopefully our race participation will improve even more with the Targa Florio Rally and Goodwood/Tourist Trophy series starting July 10!

From a series total – Marty dominated with consistent wins in every round, Dave summed up to 2nd and Steve 3rd, showing they are still serious “competitors” even after sitting out several other series this last year!  and John has re-affirmed his consistent skill in setup and driving!  Congrats Guys!  (ignore the 02/12/2006 date stamp in the photos!)

At 4-years old in Pensacola I repaired my steering linkage on my Ford Pedal-car. Dad later converted this car to a Blue Angel with ailerons and elevators with a working "stick/yoke"; the rudder was controlled by the steering wheel. I like all motorsports - I grew up going to a NASCAR Feeder track with Sportsman and Modified classes, and was lucky to attend drag races in 1970 at Orange County Raceway. My first solder-iron was a Christmas gift at 9yo; I modified T-Jets to be AFX spec before AFX Cars were in local stores. I rebuilt a few tractor & car (SIMCA) engines plus transmissions by 15yo (I still have my ring-compressor and valve spring tool) I am a former mountain and road bike geek & perennial sound engineer. Struggling guitar hobbyist and Amp "tweeker"

  1. Mark – Are the final results calculated with only five race totals or with all heats? The racers with six heats in their totals should have their lowest point total removed and the final results recalculated. This will have a big impact on the final results as I am sure David will move up more places.
