Nine Drivers braved the heat for our second stage of NSR Porsche 997 Challenge. The track temp was Texas-hot at 98 degrees F, but the cars and drivers still performed admirably well.
After tech check, the coin flip sent to race on the rally track. This is unknown territory for the drivers as we have never raced anglewinder motors on the rally track in competition. It didn’t take long for most of the field to find their legs and turn in some impressive times.
Jeff S. topped the field with a race and series record fast lap of 6.082 seconds and just 257.804 seconds to cover 40 laps. The field was pretty spread out, but with several quick laps by the drivers. As the series progresses and we get more time in this format expect the times to drop and get closer among drivers.
