The fifth round of the NSR GT3 series is seeing the leaderboard begin to firm up. In the Group A cohort of racers first and second place appear to be set. David must place first in the final race and record the fastest lap to increase his points to 98. If he manages that finish, Marty still only needs to place second to achieve a score of 99 to take first place overall. The third step on the Group A podium will be decided between three racers: Marc T, John B, and Stephen Br, with the expectation that either John B. or Stephen Br. will prevail due to their number of starts compared to Marc T. It’s going to be a close final race for the A Group.
The B Group is in a slightly different scenario. First place is set, but second and third are still up for grabs. Mark L, with 5 starts, at best will be able to improve his points by 5 with a first place finish and fastest lap in the Race 6. Kim D., with only 4 starts, has a good chance of unseating Mark L. from second place, leaving the third step of the podium up in the air between Mark L., Kim D., and Josh C. depending on their performance in the final race. A very exciting finish, indeed!
