2026 NSR Fiat Abarth 500 Rally – Stage 5 Update

After five rounds of pushing the little Fiats around our rally track the results are starting to gel.  David continues to lead, but victory is still not certain.  When we look at all the racers who will have at least five starts (a necessity to place in the overall results for rally series) and assume that they will each deliver their average performance time we see that Mel could finish just 3.255 seconds behind David. If we take into account the standard deviation between Mel’s stages of 3.398 seconds, the top podium step could be within his grasp if he is on his race game for the sixth and final stage.  Of course David could be on top of his game for that race and finish 2.7 seconds below his average, just edging out Mel to remain in first.

If Marc T. is able to deliver his average time in the final stage he will lock down the third step on the podium followed closely by Mark L. who deserves special mention for finishing so high up the leaderboard on his first time out on the rally track.

Race day will bring the proof!
