Round 5 of the 2012 Slot.It Challenge – 60’s Prototypes was run on Saturday March 3rd, and once again, it was the Roy and Roy Show showing everyone the fast way around the track. Roy came all so close to Ary’s race record of 226.4 laps with a final tally of 225.57 laps for the day. Kevin finished in second place with 217.83 laps and Shawn was in 3rd with 211.27 total laps.
Roy’s biggest challenge to holding on to 1st place was absent today due to prior work commits. We missed you Ary. Russell was also missing in action due to prior commits.
It all comes down to Round 6 to decide the Championship. After throwing out the worst result from racers who had run all 5 rounds, Roy is hanging on to 1st with a 5 point lead, so it now appears Roy and Ary will decide 1st and 2nd and Shawn and Kevin will be in a heated battle to clinch 3rd Place overall.
