I just received one of the new ThunderSlot Lolas. This car shows great promise. It looks very nice, if not quite as accurate as the Fly Lolas. Designed for competition, it comes with a 21.5K motor and no magnet and weighs 62.9 grams. I took it out of the box, installed the supplied rear motor pod bracket and loosened body and pod screws. With stock tires, no lube, break-in, or other tweaking I ran about a dozen laps and turned a 4.2 lap. With sanding or replacing the tires and tweaking, this car should be very quick. For $70, the price is reasonable. This new company should do well.
Russ, super cool. I love the Webers with stacks. So.. whats the deal with the pod? Did it come with another configuration or do you just have to install the pod (i.e. its not R2R?)
